“What really moved us to purchase Trinium-TMS was the ease of use; especially the usability of the dispatch screen. Being able to view all your jobs and drivers on the same screen allows our dispatchers to execute in real-time, allowing each dispatcher to handle more drivers per day which translates into more revenue.”

Trinium’s Inaugural Exchange User Conference Focuses on Improving System Utilization and Achieving Industry Best Practice

Leading intermodal trucking software vendor, Trinium Technologies, held its inaugural user conference, Exchange ’07, in Redondo Beach, California March 22-23.  The conference offered a collaborative environment where customers learned how to maximize their utilization of the Trinium application suite with a focus on achieving industry best practice.  The two-day event brought together super-users and executives from companies of all sizes using Trinium to manage their intermodal trucking and logistics operations.  Attendees discussed industry issues and trends, shared experiences with other customers, reviewed Trinium’s latest release and participated in various training sessions.
As a conference attendee and Trinium user, Dick Coyle, president at Devine Intermodal, said, "One of the main benefits of the conference was the focus on industry best practice.  Trinium is really committed to providing solutions that drive best practices for intermodal trucking companies.  We also benefited from the interaction with other users." Devine Intermodal is using the Trinium-TMS product suite to manage its intermodal trucking terminals.
Attendees at Exchange participated in interactive presentations on industry best practice, improving system utilization, and case study discussions.  The conference also provided users insight into new functionality with release 4.5, system training, and provided a forum for customer suggestions for Trinium’s product development roadmap.  Conference highlights included:

  • Keynote speech on intermodal transportation from industry expert, Ted Prince, vice president of Kansas City Southern Rail Road;
  • Presentation from Progress Software on the platform and database capabilities behind the Trinium applications;
  • Case study presentations from Trinium users California Cartage, Pacer Cartage, H & M International Transportation, and Pacific Transfer;
  • A day and half of training sessions on varies topics pre-designated by Trinium’s customers; and
  • Announcement of Trinium’s new joint venture with International Asset Systems (IAS) to create a web-based system to automate communication and data exchange between steamship lines, IMC’s, forwarders, shippers and their intermodal trucking vendors

"With over half our customers represented at Exchange, we were very happy with the overall outcome of the conference.  Our customers are very eager to improve their bottom lines and customer satisfaction through the use of technology.  The focus on industry best practice was welcomed by our customers and will continue to be what drives our solutions into the future,” said Michael Thomas, chief executive officer of Trinium Technologies.
